welcome to the chaos

Blessings

I know that when life has kicked you in the ass a few times it’s easy to be skeptical of good things. I have found myself waiting for the other shoe to drop, and sure enough it has on several occasions. But I’ve always survived.

I was out on a bike ride and got to thinking. I have lost two friends to cancer in the last year. Yesterday was Kate’s birthday, and I rode to Mindi’s new memorial bench on my ride tonight. I wrote this post on her bench feeling the warm sunshine on my skin with birds chirping and critters scurrying around.

We don’t know how much time we are promised. It seems like such a waste to spend time questioning or doubting our blessings. Some blessings might be temporary, and some might last a lifetime, but any time we spend questioning them is time we could spend enjoying them instead..

Both Mindi & Kate were a blessing to me. I wish I had enjoyed both of their friendships more.

If you’re reading this, you have survived your worst day. Go count & enjoy every blessing in your life!

XO ~Langley
